Middlesbrough, England, native Robbie Hill joins Chattanooga FC on yet another stop in what has been a long journey for the accomplished striker. Having grown up as a member of the Middlesbrough, Darlington, and Bradford reserve teams, Hill spent the early years of his soccer career hopping around from team to team before eventually landing on Northern England County. After serving as the team's captain in 2007, the following year saw Hill play well enough to catch the eyes of Carson Newman College, and the Englishman moved overseas in time to play in the 2008 season. In his freshman year, the Middlesbrough striker bagged 13 goals en-route to claiming SAC Second Team All-Conference honors and Carson Newman's Freshman of the Year award. In the following 2009 season, Hill maintained his steady form by bagging 16 goals and 5 assists for the year, leading Carson Newman in goals and points, and earning him SAC First Team All-Conference honors. Often credited for being in the "right place at the right time," Hill relies on his movement and vision to make sure he is in position to score goals. Furthermore, Hill is never shy to try new, exciting things on the field, and his creativity should be helpful as he looks to make an impact for Chattanooga FC in 2010.
